Update: President-Elect Set To Scuttle TPP

Back in June, we posted content about the Trans-Pacific Partnership signing a free-trade agreement. Here’s an update:
In a late-November YouTube announcement, President-Elect Trump indicated that once he takes office, he immediately plans to inform the other 11 TPP nations of the United States’ decision to withdraw from the treaty. In an effort to fill this vacuum, China may proceed with the 10-nation Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, which includes Asian countries that are both part of the TPP, as well as nations not part of the treaty—such as India, South Korea and Indonesia.
