Letter M: Turning Pro, Waiting for the Draft, Just Been Drafted

The letter ‘M’ starts more than Major League when you are talking sports.

Have you considered:

Mom (okay and dad, sis, bro, grandma, grandpa) – be loyal to her (them) as they have been/are to you. Help support them as they supported you as you grew and matured on and off the field.

Money – What we all work for and hope to maximize. Don’t be blinded by it; don’t abuse it.

Marketing – One source of money but more importantly the image you project; the face you want people to see.

Marriage – A commitment, not just to your spouse, but also to your team, your sponsors, and your fans.  Marriages also require constant work and effort.

Management – Team’s owner, GM, coaches plus your financial, legal, PR, and agent teams. Respect them all: Talk to them and listen to them. Be a part of the process.

Monopoly – A game -- but not what you have in any position in life.
