The letter ‘G’ starts more than Glory when you are talking sports.
Have you considered:
Gross Pay – What your contract calls for; but net pay is what you take home after taxes, union dues, game tickets and other possible deductions.
Guaranteed – Maybe your contract, maybe an endorsement, but not your career or future.
Games – What you prepare for during the season; how some try to take advantage of you.
Gifts/Gratis – Nothing is really free; what conditions does it come with?
Guidance – You got it, and get it, from parents, teachers, coaches – you also need it from your financial team.
Grades – You get them in school, on how you perform on the field, on how you perform in life –don’t let them slip.
Graduate – Did you? You should – a degree on your resume never goes away.
