Elena Newman

Elena Newman is a Partner in the Financial Services Group with over 25 years of diversified experience servicing clients in the alternative investments industry with audit, accounting, tax, and advisory matters. Elena has in-depth expertise in the alternative investment industry and holds multi-state certifications.

Elena leads engagement teams providing audit and accounting services with a primary industry focus on private equity, venture capital, hedge funds, and funds of funds. She has developed a particular expertise in private equity and venture capital and guides fund structuring and best practices. In 2020, she was featured in Crain's Round Table Discussion on New Approaches to Private Equity.

Prior to joining the firm, Elena was a Business Unit Controller for a leading global private investment bank for various business products and directly reported to senior management.

In addition to her leadership roles, Elena frequently speaks on risk assessment topics and develops content for staff development and thought leadership publications. A key member of the Emerging Manager Venture Capital group, she is also involved in a variety of firm strategies and serves on the Women of EisnerAmper's New Jersey Chapter Leadership Steering Committee.
