Timothy Rankins

Tim Rankins is a Tax Director with over 10 years of experience with focus on Research and Development Tax Credit. Tim identifies opportunities, both federal and state, implementing the necessary projects to quantify, qualify and substantiate the tax credit.

Tim has served a variety of clients, including C-corporations and pass-through entities U.S. or foreign owned. Industries of focus include manufacturing, life sciences, software, technology, financial services and insurance.

Tim is a licensed attorney in Pennsylvania, and he has represented clients before the IRS and other state regulatory authorities. Prior to joining the firm, he was a Senior Manager with a national accounting firm in strategic federal tax services area where he led the Research and Development Tax Credit Group in the New York and New England market territory.

Tim has presented on tax topics including the research and development tax credit. He has also co-authored Tax Advisors article “Recent Updates in the R&D Tax Credit Case Law”.
