Michael Braverman is a Partner and the firm's National Leader of Transaction Advisory Services. Mike also leads the Forensic, Litigation, and Valuation Services at the firm's New York office. With more than 35 years of expansive experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge specializing in litigation expert and consulting services, arbitration, auditing, complex accounting, and merger and acquisition advisory services. Mike primarily advises Law firms, Private Equity firms, and Public and Private entities.

Mike is a leading professional in financial statement fraud and investigations. His expertise extends to SEC, DOJ, and other regulatory enforcement actions, complex commercial litigation, purchase price, and post-acquisition disputes, accounting and auditor malpractice, damage/lost profits, and financial statement restatements. Mike has served as an expert witness, consultant, and neutral arbitrator in numerous matters, including those involving financial reporting and the application of GenerallyAccepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and GenerallyAccepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), and frequently consults on complex accounting, reporting, and SEC matters.

Prior to joining the firm, Mike served as a Partner at one of the nation's largest accounting firms where he led the Financial Investigations and Disputes/Financial Consulting service lines. Throughout his career, Mike has held leadership roles at several renowned organizations. Mike was a Partner at a leading economic consulting firm and Managing Director at prominent financial advisory and consulting firms. He spent 20 years as an Audit Partner at two Big 4 accounting firms and a well-known global accounting firm, providing audit and advisory services. Mike led domestic and cross-border teams on audits, public offerings, acquisitions, SEC matters, and forensic investigations. His clients ranged from Fortune 500 companies to start-ups in manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, technology, entertainment, real estate, and financial services.

Beyond his advisory roles, Mike is a sought-after speaker and prolific writer. He regularly presents at industry conferences and contributes thought-provoking insights on his areas of expertise.
