Kobi Assaraf

Kobi Assaraf is a Partner in the firm’s Financial Services Group. As a seasoned professional with more than 20 years of experience providing technical accounting and capital markets expertise, he is highly effective in analyzing complex transactions and enterprise-wide accounting and regulatory issues, structuring alternative solutions and implementing solutions. Kobi has had extensive involvement with FASB standard setting projects and experience leading large scale implementations of new accounting standards.

Prior to joining the firm, Kobi was with a large global bank’s accounting policy team serving as a technical accounting advisor to the bank’s institutional client businesses on balance sheet, income statement and valuation matters pertaining to highly structured transactions. Kobi was also with a Big 4 accounting firm serving both in its national office and financial advisory practice as a technical accounting expert focusing on derivatives, hedging, foreign currency, fair value measurement, balance sheet offsetting, transfers of financial assets and consolidation under U.S. GAAP and IFRS. He is highly networked within the U.S. and European investment banks, Big 4, accounting firms, industry associations, regulators and accounting standards organizations..

Kobi has authored internal accounting guidance and published thought-leadership whitepapers on emerging accounting and financial issues. He is fluent in reading and writing Hebrew.
