Brooks Malone is a Partner and National Software Sector Leader, within the firm’s Technology and Life Sciences Group. With nearly 35 years of public accounting experience, Brooks specializes in financial reporting, business consulting, and financial planning. His clientele spans several industries, including information technology, medical devices, life science and biotechnology, construction and real estate and service companies.
Brooks has significant experience helping high-growth and investor-backed technology companies and their founders and executives, including software, SaaS, hardware, and related industries.
Brooks is active in the entrepreneurial community including Raleigh Founded and American Underground. He has also written a tech leader column called The Download for GrepBeat since 2018.
Prior to joining the firm, Brooks was a Partner at Hughes Pittman & Gupton, LLP (HPG), a leading North Carolina-based accounting firm.
Brooks has been recognized for his outstanding contributions with prestigious awards throughout his career. He was inducted into the Leadership Raleigh Hall of Fame by the Raleigh Chamber of Commerce in October 2011, honored with the Outstanding Service to Entrepreneurs award by the Council for Entrepreneurial Development (CED) in June 2008. Furthermore, in 2005, he was bestowed with the Triangle Business Journal's 40 Under 40 Leadership Award, distinguishing him as one of the most accomplished and promising young business leaders under the age of 40.
